Valentine’s Day Card Tutorial
Valentine’s Day is on it’s way! You can usually find me running out at the last minute to purchase a card and candy. I got inspired early this year and made a card to give to my daughter. She loves dogs so I used the “Animal Kingdom” Cricut cartridge to make the terrier and the phrase, “i ❤️u “. I mounted some Valentine’s Day themed paper that I had forever on red card stock. The final step was to add a banner in the upper corner using my Creative Memories Border Maker with the Banner Chain cartridge.
If you are interested in making something similar, I included instructions below. I used my Cricut Expression but you could use any of the Cricut machines.
To make the terrier, using a Cricut Expression, I cut as follows:
3″ Terrier in dark brown
3″ Terrier layer 1 in lighter brown
3″ Terrier layer 2 in tan
3″ Terrier layer 3 in red
Assemble with Zig 2-way glue stick.
To make the phrase, using a Cricut Expression, I cut as follows:
2″ Koala (Phrase) in pink
2″ Koala (Phrase)(Shift) in red
To make the banner, I used Creative Memories Border Maker System – Banner Chain cartridge.
This card was quick and easy to make. Let me know if you have any questions.
